Pick a job and work on it if you like the job. You can work online or off as you prefer. After completing the work, submit it for review. If your work is approved you will get paid for it.
Most submitted work is graded by other workers and/or CastingWords’s administrators. Grades are used to change your badge level for jobs and determine bonus. There is a base rate and badge level for jobs. As a new transcriber, you will get the Beginner badge after your first approved assignment. All badges start out at a base rate. With certain transcription jobs, payment is based on a bonus over the base rate for good work.
As you submit your work, your badge levels will get raised or lowered based on the quality and accuracy of your work. If you deliver good work, your badge scores will go up, and you will get access to higher paying transcription jobs.

You get paid per minute of audio file. The company pays per minute of audio file that has been transcribed. There is average pay for a job, except for bonus-based jobs. For bonus-based jobs, there is a base pay. The majority pay for a bonus-based job comes from a bonus, based on the grade your work gets. If you are a skilled transcriptionist, you can earn reasonably good rate that includes a base pay and a bonus for your work that gets approved.
Casting Words has generous deadlines, and pays steadily. The company lets you listen to the entire audio file prior to accepting the assignment. You work as much or as little as you want. You can work on jobs that take from a few seconds to many hours to finish. They tend to keep the transcription jobs small, so you can fit them in.
How Do You Get Paid?
Funds will be deposited into your account each time a piece of work is approved. When you have accumulated at least $1.00 you can request for a payout. CastingWords pays to workers every Friday at 10:00 AM U.S. Pacific Time via PayPal. They pay the PayPal fees. So if you want to get paid, you can request payment and get paid via PayPal the following Friday.
